Summary of the accommodation
Each property is full of charm, character, atmosphere and is presented in an eclectic style, typical of an artist who loves colour and texture. Each home has an outside space for sun or shade. Property 1 is the oldest and is typically Andalucian with different roof angles and roof heights. It has been lived in permanently for a very long time and there is gas central heating to radiators in every room and air-conditioning units to each room also. Property 2 is more modern in style but you still know you are in Andalucia. Property 2 has wood burning stoves in each room and also ceiling fans. Then property 3 is simplistic in layout with a feature fireplace in the centre of an open-plan layout that creates a feeling of space and light. Property 3 has an air-conditioning unit (cooling and heating).
This property has potential for a tourism venture or is ideal for an extended family to live together yet independently, or perhaps, siblings may like to buy together and enjoy the separate accommodation but come together to have fun around the pool with the kids. House 3 is the dream of every teenager and the perfect place for them to have some independence from the adults.
♦ House 1: Conservatory for lounging and dining year round leads into the open-plan vaulted and beamed kitchen/living room/dining room that is split level and has two feature arches. A home office has a large desk and lots of storage. Bedroom 1 is a romantic long room with a vaulted and beamed ceiling and there is a chic en-suite bathroom with roll-top bath and modern shower cubicle. Bedroom 2 is a suite with two dressing rooms, a huge en-suite that even has a fireplace in it. Then the bedroom itself has a fireplace and also a door out onto the front terrace. The square dressing room could become a little sitting room with fridge, microwave and kettle so visiting guests are very self sufficient.
House 1 is not for those with reduced mobility as the charm of the property are the steps up and down to different parts of the property and to different rooms. It has a quirky layout to go with the quirky presentation.
Outside there is a front terrace with three zones… an open area, an area covered with a grape vine, another area that has a roll out blind for shade and the conservatory. Steps down bring you to a large stone built storage shed. A few more steps bring you to the open kitchen area with sink and storage areas. It is an old ruin without its roof and minus some walls. It is ideal for a BBQ area with a fridge and even a gas fired plancha fitted.
A large pool terrace with a beautiful swimming pool has sun from dawn until dusk. There is a poolside conservatory so you can sunbathe in winter. There are plenty of trees and shrubs that provide complete privacy yet the lovely view can be glimpsed between the greenery.
The detached garage is large and accessed via a long driveway so there is plenty of parking.
The gardens are extensive, mature and zoned. Paths and steps take you to different parts of the gardens with places to sit and relax in the shade. The garden is tiered and all the paths and patio are laid to natural stone crazy paving.
♦ House 2: The layout is very simplistic but the styling is very Andalucian. The accommodation is across one level with an open-plan kitchen/living/dining room with a wood burning stove. Then there are two double bedrooms and a family bathroom. Each room, except the bathroom has double doors out onto the front terrace.
Outside and next to the either end of the property are; a sun terrace at one end and a wood working workshop at the other end.
At the front of the terrace is an alfresco dining area that just out over the tiered garden and takes in the far reaching spectacular views.
The tiered garden has paths and extensive planting with a circular patio that accommodates a plunge pool for the hot summer months.
House 3: Is located across the small track from property 1 and 2 and comprises a cottage that is simplistic in style but very comfortable. A huge central fireplace is a key feature and then there is a sitting area, a kitchen around the corner and then a zone for the bedroom with a bathroom that does have a door. The kitchen is small but has a breakfast bar and is the correct size in keeping with the property itself. Outside there is a covered terrace stretching the entire front of the property and to the side is a driveway ideal for parking.
Outside this property has its own plot of land and more could be done with it if desired.
Access to the property is down a short track made up of gravel, concret and tarmac
A 4 X 4 car is not required here or even a car that is raised higher off the ground. However, if you want to continue South and take a shortcut down to the bar/restaurants in Pastelero, a car with higher ground clearance would be beneficial.
The track is very quiet with only a few properties accessed further along the track from this home. There is no need to use this track unless accessing your home and there are very few beyond this one, maybe just two or three properties! So the track you see in the photos is very quiet and hardly used.
A very special geographical area with one of the best views available in Andalucia
This unique property is located in a stunning area, on a ridge that is extremely popular with buyers because of the exceptional country views There are always buyers waiting for properties to come onto the market. On a clear day, it is possible to see approximately 9 mountain ranges, one behind the other to include those surrounding the Malaga Lakes and El Chorro Gorge right through to the Serrania de Ronda. In the foreground is the rolling arable farming land that changes colour throughout the year as the crops rotate. The crops grown include wheat, barley, broad beans, oats, peas and potatoes. Then there are the sunsets because the view faces West. These sunsets have to be some of the best available to be enjoyed in Andalucia.

These ventas serve home cooked local cuisine with Menu of the Day at lunchtime. Three courses and a drink for around €10. They are also open in the evenings and are different from each other, one serving finer dining and the other serves traditional and simple cuisine.
Villanueve de la Concepcion is the small town this property belongs to
Villanueva de la Concepcion is a 10 minute drive from the property and it is a buzzing, thriving small town that has everything you need for permanent living or for holidays. A good size supermarket, excellent butchers, bakers, numerous independent shops and 14 bar/restaurants. There is no need to leave the village for quality day-to-day living. The sporting facilities in Villanueva de la Concepcion are excellent too.
Airports
Malaga airport can be reached via Villanueva de la Concepcion and down the A45 motorway in 50 minutes or go via Almogia village and down the country roads in 40 minutes.
Granada airport is a little further away at approximately 1 hour.
A little about the Dutch seller and the reason for selling after 30 years!
Tina, the incredibly fit and healthy Dutch owner of these special and unique properties has owned them for nearly 30 years. However now in her 80’s, it is time to move into an apartment down on the coast where she has no need to drive and where someone else can do the maintenance and the gardening for her!
Tina does require you to find her and turn up at the house because she no longer has a car but she can send you a pin drop via WhatsApp. The houses are not hard to find.
Tina will answer any questions you may have via email in the first instance but she does prefer WhatsApp messages or calls.
Viewing the properties is encouraged because the set of three homes, the pool and the view are special. Tina will happily show you around and she speaks many languages fluently to include English so communication should not be a problem.
